Codevre (“Codevre,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides software, websites, and related services for coding, learning, classroom management, assignments, submissions, and educational collaboration, including Codevre Learn (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to users, educators, schools, parents, and guardians.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope

- Codevre Learn and related classroom features
- teacher, student, and administrator accounts
- support, communications, and account administration
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or integrations that are not controlled by Codevre, even if they are linked from our Services.

- name, username, display name, roster name, or profile handle

- teacher-created content, including classrooms, lessons, assignments, instructions, grading settings, and feedback
- student-created content, including submissions, answers, code, output, project links, summaries, and other work submitted through the Services
- communications sent to us, including support requests and account inquiries
B. Classroom and educational records

- class membership
- join codes and class participation status
- roster names and student identifiers provided by the teacher, school, student, or parent
- lesson progress and assignment completion status
- grades, scores, teacher review status, and teacher feedback
- timestamps relating to classroom participation, submissions, and progress
C. Information collected automatically

- IP address
- browser type and version
- device type and operating system
- approximate location derived from IP address
- pages viewed, features used, and actions taken within the Services

D. Information from authentication or account providers

- monitor performance, debug issues, and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
We do not use student personal information collected through Codevre Learn for targeted advertising to students.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Educational Use, Schools, and Student Data

When Codevre Learn is used by or on behalf of a school or educator:
- the school or educator may provide us with student information needed to deliver the educational service
- we process student data to provide classroom, learning, and assignment features requested by the school or educator
- teachers and schools may control classroom membership, lesson access, assignment settings, review decisions, and related educational records within the Services
- where applicable, we act as a service provider or school official performing institutional services on behalf of the school, subject to applicable law and school agreements
Schools and educators are responsible for determining whether and how they use the Services in compliance with their own legal obligations, notices, permissions, and internal policies. Teachers, schools, and other educational organizations are responsible for obtaining any permissions, notices, or authorizations required for their use of the Services and for the student data they choose to provide.
5. Children’s Privacy

If we have actual knowledge that a user is a child under 13 and the use is not properly authorized or permitted, we may suspend or delete the account or related information as appropriate.
Parents, guardians, schools, and educators who believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately may contact us using the contact details below to request review or deletion, subject to applicable law and any school relationship governing the data.
6. How We Share Information

A. With teachers, schools, and classroom participants

- student roster names, profile images, and class participation details with the teacher for that class
- class titles, assignments, due dates, and teacher feedback with enrolled students
- classroom records with authorized school or district personnel where applicable
B. With service providers

With service providers”We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the Services, such as hosting, database, authentication, analytics, storage, communications, moderation, and customer support providers. These providers are authorized to use the information only as needed to provide services to us.

For classroom features in Codevre Learn, visibility is generally limited by account role, class membership, and feature settings, but users should still avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information unless specifically requested for legitimate educational purposes.
8. Data Retention

Retention may vary depending on:
- account status
- school or classroom use

- security and fraud-prevention requirements
- whether deletion has been requested and is permitted
We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that does not reasonably identify an individual.

However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

For student records used through a school, requests may need to be made through the relevant school, district, or teacher, depending on the school’s relationship with Codevre and applicable law.
We may retain certain information as required by law, for legitimate security or fraud-prevention purposes, or where necessary to complete school- or teacher-directed educational functions already in progress.

13. Do Not Sell or Share

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
